This pedal is Vintage English Overdrive at it's best. Based on the vintage Colorsound Overdriver made famous by Jeff Beck among others. This pedal has a few added options to make it a little more usable at lower levels and with out having to dial back your guitar volume to get softer tones from it.
The BC109 has your typical overdriver controls, drive, treble and bass. It also has an added volume control that the vintage units never had which was one of the reasons they were very hard to get along with. Another added feature of the BC109 is the added cut knob. If you have any experience with the vintage overdrivers you know that when you used the drive control it was either all or nothing, hence the name booster/overdrive. The cut knob allows you to tame the overdrive down and set it to your liking instead of having to fiddle around with you volume knob on your guitar.
Utilizing period correct BC109 transistors this overdrive circuit is sure to please the most particular ears. Wilson is proud to note that this is also one of Josh Klinghoffer's top pedals as well.
All Wilson pedals are built with a true bypass circuit therefore not sucking the life out of your signal when in bypass mode. The BC109 operates on an industry standard 2.1mm center negative power supply or a high quality alkaline battery.
